Library Advocacy is one of the core functions of the Friends of Kentucky Libraries. We work to ensure that your voice and the voice of other library supporters is heard so our public libraries can offer the services needed in our communities. We advocate for public libraries on the local, state, and federal level. We periodically offer training in advocacy and share examples of effective advocacy efforts. You’ll find details about advocacy efforts on the pages below:

  • Legislative Meet & Greet – close-to-home opportunities with elected officials and candidates
  • Library Legislative Day – annually during the legislative session, the benefits last all year
  • Advocacy Videos – enjoy and share these great publicly available video messages
  • Webinars – explore convenient, online learning from several great sources
